Using the 99 tones for secondary discrimination?

Mick in Dubbo

New member
I was wondering if anybody has used the 99 tone feature on the 70 to check out a good signal to see if it was junk or good? A few have posted about using it to hunt with and found it a bit much, but to use it as another form of discrimination to check out a target could yield some interesting results. (in theory anyway). Any input is welcome.
Mick Evans.
