Using non V rated coils with single frequency

Bill_S

Well-known member
Will a coil that is made for the M6 etc that is not V rated work ok in single frequency (2.5 or 7.5) on the V3i?

They should work fine as long as you stay away from using the high frequency.

I have 3 non V rated coils from my MXT that all work fine on my V3i in 3 freq. mode.... they even pass the RX 15 overload test..........
So give them a test, that's the only way to know for sure......

Just do the test and if they don't overoad you are fine.
