I got this for about 61 bucks of ebay, but the cable is too short. I was pretty sure it was compatible with the etrac, when i short cable it up it seems to work to just fine.
Where can I get an extension cable for it, do you think the sun ray probe would reach it, that's the expensive route any thoughts ideas

Thanks
Michael

It looks just fine other it is on a older XS lower shaft. The cable lenght is just fine as this is the way all the coil cables are on the Explorer/ E-Tracs. You take off the upper shaft on your E-Trac and slide it over the lower shaft as far as it goes, then connect the cable to the control box of the E-Track and slide the upper shaft back in and lock it, then slide out the lower shaft until you get it to where you want it and lock it. If it were mine I would switch the lower shaft out to the newer one.

Yep!

That said..if it fits the upper Etrac rod..the cable will work fine on your coil.

Take upper rod off the connection, slide it down over the lower rod. All the way down towards the coil as far as it will go.

Next hook the coil connection to the machine.. Now slide the upper rod back up over the coil wire make sure it's seated in the machine, and lock it in place. Adjust the lower rod to your desired height by sliding it in or out of upper rod.. Lock it where you want it..

Again make sure that lower rod is compatible with the upper rod......... I'm not sure it is....
