Using Google maps to find silver

While checking out Google Maps of a local park, I discovered the shadows of old baseball fields nearby. So my friend Jack [White's V31] and I decided to check them out. Jack found numerous clad, but I found a 1945 Washington quarter and a 1945 Mercury dime in separate holes. The quarter was on edge 7 inches deep under 3 roots, while the dime was also on edge under 2 roots and 6 inches deep. They were the first silver for me in 2012.

Congrats on finding the old ball field an the Silver coins!:thumbup:Keep lookin:detecting: there,s probably more silver there.

Thanks for that new site Ronfin. You might want to check out www.historicmapworks.com. Are there anymore sites that anyone recommends?
