Using Elite in VA...

Hi, I am hoping to take a trip to Virginia soon and was wondering how well the Elite works there. I have read the ground is very HOT there. Will the Elite do well or would another detector be better?

thanks

i have an old sovereign that worked well the few times i've been to va. on civil war relic hunts. the places i went to i don't beleive they had the bad red va. soil that you hear about. surprised that you didn't get more answers.

My brother and I would search a place called College Row in Roanoke. The problem with this old 1838 Military school site it was littered with iron.I used a CZ3D and ID Excel and got no where my brother was using a Bounty Hunter and had the same results.Anyway last year I used my Sovereign for a brief two hour hunt the Minelab did very well I found about a half a dozen of early wheat's and a IH.On my next visit to Virginia the Sovereign will be used.
