USING A SUNRAY ON GTI ?

Any comments from those using the SunRay on GTI Model?

Is it worth the money or is a good handheld just as good?

Do you make contact with only the tip of probe, or will the side of the probe sound off? (running through dug dirt with side of probe to find target; being able to use side of probe to cover more ground rather then just point).

Any experience overshooting a shallow target picked up with your regular detector and the probe going for something deeper?

Thinking of getting one but hearing some negatives; also are the benefits worth the price?

yes, it does detect the length of the shaft. Yes, it can be used to sweep the surrounding area for however far the cable will allow just like using a small 1" coil.

I mainly bought the Sunrau probe because I was getting a lot of feedback from my GTi when I would get within 2 feet of the coil with the Vibraprobe 560 and I would have to keep moving the detector away from the hole as not to interfer with the 560.

Now I don't have that problem anymore.

I have one on a 2500 and really like it. We use a bullseye for the quick and easy ones (wife and I hunt as a team) but if I am alone or have a tough to find one I pull off the sunray and use it. Best thing I have heard for a reason to get one was a fellow said you cant lose it its tied to the machine. I lose everything thats not tied on. Is it worth the money , well to me it was but then I am not in it for the break even just the fun of it, I buy faster than I can find.. you know what I mean.
