USING A 10.5 COIL ON A CZ-5:confused:

HAS ANYONE HAD ANY LUCK WITH A 10.5 COIL ON A CZ-5?? SURE COULD USE SOME FEED BACK.THANKS.

Coil gives superior coverage but is heavy and most hipmount with it,,Pinpoints well adds a bit of depth which can be negated if your hunting a saltwater beach or bad ground and have to turn down sens. From using one over the years for some reason seems to like targets on edge but again on seashores or large field can cover much more ground..
Have been around for years and many swear by them along with the small hockeypuck acc. coil...

JUST GOT THE 10 INCH AND 5INCH. I HAVE USED THE 10 FOR ABOUT 8 HOURS.NOT TO DISAGREE WITH ANYONE BUT THE COIL SEEMS TO BETTER BALANCE THE DETECTOR AND MAKES IT FEEL LIGHTER TO ME.WHEN I BOUGHT THE COIL AND HELD IT IN MY HANDS ITHOUGHT IT WAS HEAVY.I WAS REAL SURPRISED WHEN I PUT IT ON AND TRIED IT.

Hi, semperfi i;ve been using the 10.5 for about a year now, My 8in coil died well my wife her coil died and she can't swing the 10.5,I use a 3d and she has a 7apro in my opinion the 8 will out perform the 10.5 in most situations these detectors are optimized for the 8 from the factory so if you are hunting in or around trash i would use at least the 8 and most of the time i use the 4in in that format the 10.5 is taking a toll on my shoulder and should probably hip mount it thanks HH
