Uses for my new Garrett Pro Pointer AT

Hello all!

I'm new to the forum, enjoying the vast amounts of information I've come across. I recently acquired a Garrett Ace 300, which I love, and a Garrett Pro Pointer AT, which I love even more.

After getting the Pro Pointer there as to be more uses for it than just pin pointing your dig. So I started doing some research, and surprisingly did not fing a lot of what I was looking for, but did find some interesting ideas. So my question is, how else do you guys use this great tool?

I take it with me everywhere, to the beach, when traveling, camping, parks, etc. Just sitting at the beach at my spot I found a pocket knife, several clad coins, and a zippo lighter. Mind yo this is just running it over the sand in the proximity of where I'm sitting. I've also seen on YouTube a guy who uses it to search sink drain traps of empty, abandoned homes, which I thought was ingenious.

So what else, give me some ideas, this is a tool that should have many good uses, I think?

Thanks,
Mark

You can use it to check the spine of old books to see if there are any coins stashed in there, a common place to hide them in the old days. I have taken mine to garage sales and old book sales.

Found any coins?

When traveling and staying overnight in motels, check the sink traps with your pin pointer for any lost rings(most are made of PVC pipe)

I actually did that last weekend while staying in Anaheim. Unfortunately I found nothing there. But I did find four Lincoln pennies just scanning the grassy area right outside my rooms patio door with the Pinpointer.
