users experience wanted for compadre with 5'75" coil

Hello from Belgium !

I'd be very thankful if i got some advice on the above mentioned detector. Should buy one of them but still doubt over disc capacities.

Thank you.

Nick.

But you should be aware that the coil is hardwired to the control box on this model and you wont be able to change coils. I believe Tesoro did that to minimize cost on the unit. Still, is kick-but little machine.

Thanx

The unit has indeed everything to seduce me, only I got some bad reports on disc with the former version (7" coil) mentioning the inoperative disc circuitry for shallow trash targets.

Has this been improved with the 5,75" one??

the compadre with the 5inch coil kicks butt.. i use it in a trash dump & can hear good targets in between the trash .. & its hot on small gold rings.. its an excellent choice for the money & it will suprise you ..
good hunting

Nice rings. Thanx for the info, all reports tend to be positive. Up till now I hunted small gold rings with a c-scope 550, excellent too, but it is a TR unit, and sometimes the threshold tone assaults my ears. The compadre is more an all-round detector, while the cscope is intended for trash dump and relic hunting.
