Fall is here and I am looking forward to getting out a bit more! I was out last week for a couple of hours and found 16 modern coins. I keep reading the user manual and the Andy S. book and always seem to learn something new! I made a custom program that I want to try and put it in User A on my Explorer SE. In the owners manual it states that the machine will only remember volume tone and sensitivity when it is powered off. I am thinking that each time I go out that I have to load the program hit noise cancel and hunt? If that is true I may have missed a lot of coins! Thanks everyone!! Ted

Ted- if you save settings into User A it won't remember back light status or pinpoint status, the rest of it will be there(I'm pretty sure). Get it how you want it,save it. IF YOU DONT CHANGE IT you won't have to reload anything. IF YOU FUDGE WITH IT then to get back to your originally saved settings in User A you will have to reload it. There are differing stances on what and when with Noise Cancel, some like to set it manually, some like to do it every time they start the machine, some like to do it multiple times DURING a hunt, some never do it because it takes 30 seconds. Personally I noise cancel at the beginning of a hunt and then later also if I feel anything is wacky. Please keep in mind I've had my Explorer2 for all of a few months so TIFWIW....
