I have noticed that when I set up a user profile with disc settings (certain numbers blanked out) and save it, and then switch to a factory setting then back to the profile, the disc pattern does not show up. Is that normal or am I suffering brain flatulence?

This is what I see with the CTX if I use the same Mode for all dat...switching to the factory Mode wipes it out. Not sure about the EQ though...

I'm not sure but I think I read that if you turn the detector off while in a user mode, it will erase the settings. I think you have to remember to switch to another factory mode before turning off the detector in order to have the settings saved.

No, that's not normal. The user profile should retain the settings that you had on it.

Just a thought, are you holding the save button in long enough for it to lock it in as saved?

Yes, doing everything by the book. So I assume that not showing the disc pattern is not normal?

Yes, you are correct. It should retain the disc pattern.

Just another thought. Try doing a factory reset and see what happens. Good luck!

All is ood. Did it the same way as last time and now it works. (obviously NOT the same way as last time - LOL). No reset necessary. :detecting:
