hi to all just need to ask about getting rid of my last detector,,prices and should i sell it as a package or seperate it ..what i have is a like new tesoro eldorado umax,a 4" coil,a 7' troy shadow coil (one of my favorites) ,an 8"deepsearch wide scan,a9x8 concentric,a10x12 concentric, all with covers except the9x8 which is new all are in very good shape.the eldorado was not used very much and looks and works like new .when i got this detector i had 8 to 10 detectors all the time ,i worked in a detector and prospecting store in ft worth,tx.but am retired in east texas and have not picked up a detector in 4 years, have gotten into bass fishing ,so i need to sell this stuff,,i hope this is not the wrong kind of post for this forum thanks jesse...if any one wants to check me out see my ebay feed back (user name jmtnman on ebay) thanks again

Damn, where were you a week or so ago? I just bought a brand new Eldorado for full price ($400). I obviously paid a bit more because it was never used.

If you sold all that as a kit, you could probably get $500 I'm guessing. A used Bandido II uMax just sold on eBay (more or less an older version of the Eldorado) for $367. No extra coils or anything.

I wouldn't have a clue how much each coil would sell for, but I'd be interested in buying the 10x12 concentric if you are going to sell each item separately.

I agree, approx. $500 for all. if you decide to sell separately, i would be interested in the 4 and 7 inch coils, sam in ms

My watching of online auctions leads me to think that you get more total when you sell the pieces. I know you have more costs in fees, but it seems you get every one trying to pick up the piece they really want and then the buyer doesn't have to worry about what they won't use.

If the eldorado with the 9 x 8 coil on it bid up to $350 and each of the other coils individually went for $40 you are up to $510. I've seen a lot of similar package deals only bid up to slightly more than what the detector alone would go for.

My two cents.

TVR hit it on the head there. Listing your detector and each coil separately will bring a higher amount usually. Certainly more than the listing cost for each item. His suggestion of listing the Eldorado with the 9X8 on it makes sense. Then list each coil as a separate item. It is definitely how I'd do it.

thanks to all for your in put..i think i will post it all on finds ,and use ebay as a last resort...thanks jesse

it looks like i will have to put my tesoro stuff on ebay, looks like according to the forum rules i have not posted enough or been registered long enough to use your buy & sell forum..thanks jesse (jmtn@isp.com) should have them posted in the morning

it was not real good in heavy trash or real deep, but, worked well in low trash areas with scattered targets.,found a lot of good stuff at an old town site in dallas (eagle ford)
