I was decided to buy a new Garret ACE 250 (240$), however there is an oportunity to buy a very good condition used Bandido II umax (300$).

The Tesoro has no warranty (I

I have a nice B2umax with the stock 8" coil that I would sell for 220 plus postage. I've heard nice things about the Yellow Fellow, but for me, I would rather have a good old ground balanceable detector that can reject nails with the best of them.
For Tesoro, the warranty is a moot point, since they will service most detector for the price of shipping. If you have to replace parts, they charge, but typically they dont for check ups and minor tweaks.

Rentasquid's unit for $220 is a good buy and he is well known on these forums so you're safe buying from him.

Hi rentasquid

Thanks for your offer, but I live in Europe, if you add postage, customs duty (around 6%) and VAT (21%)on top of everything it will be around 300 Euro.

Those prices I mencioned are in Euro but for comparision purposes it doesn

The Garrett 250 is a surprising detector and without getting into it here, is a good deal at your Euro prices. I personally would not hesitate to get one and use it. Keep in mind that it wil NOT ID the same on Euro coins as it will on US coins, so you will have to learn it.

However, I suspect that there are other Tesoros to be had on your side of the pond. With only a bit of looking you could probably do better than the price you quoted. The Tesoro does have an unquestioned warranty, but shipping to and from and duties and tariffs etc., makes servicing a painful possibility.

I belive Garrett has a service facility on Europe already.

Id get the new Garrett and get busy using it. Then Id go on the hunt for a nice Tesoro Silver Sabre uMax, Eldorado, Bandido, etc. - then youd have 2 detectors.

In the end its only money, and you will not go wrong with either one.
