General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Used Explorer se from findmall classified section

Hey hey all, well I just got a used Explorer se and cant wait to see what I can do with it. Now here is my question to you guys if you can help me understand. I asked about the condition of the machine and by the pictures figured it a good deal. Well it came and for the most part is what we had agreed it was, but both shaft locks are worn out and dont work well at all.. I found peices of paper wedged in to make it kinda hold. I sent the seller a message and he claims to of had no idea !!!! PLEASE. but had the machine for a year. Im not to happy but not sure what to do, feel like he left out some very important info I should have had first. This was just last week off this site and I feel used.........what do you guys think ??????

My ex 2 wore out in the first year. Tried a few ways to fix it but ended up taping both shafts together. Buying used online is risky, if ebay you could complain.
 
Very common trait of a good used Explorer and I would not be to upset about the loose cam locks.Just put a single wrap of electical tape around the shaft where the cam will be at your desired length and you should be good to go,Ray.
