Used AT Pro.

Would you guys recommend buying a used AT Pro? and if so, which site would you recommend? It wouldn't be so much for the immediate, but for the near future. My oldest son is quite interested in the hobby and might need one of his, and since the Pro is quite expensive new, I thought perhaps a used one might work. Thanks for you input.

I might think about it if I could find a nice one around $300 but so many people try to sell them used for $400 or more and my thinking is that if I am going to pay that much I may as well spend the difference to get a new one with full warranty and peace of mind. I paid $500 for mine NEW and that included shipping , Ive heard of people getting even better deals than that ,....so I probably wouldnt pay much more than $300 for a used one no matter what extras came with it.

I would suggest you buy used from a dealer. At least you know the machine is working and will have someone to fall back on in case problems arise. Buying off E bay can be quite risky.

Its secondhand information but I have heard of people getting them used for that. If you catch the right person at the right time wanting to sell it can be done. Plus you can always haggle and offer less if someone is wanting more than $300. I bought mine brand new for $500 last year and that included shipping , and have seen where others have bought them new for slightly less. So its not smart to buy one used for much more than around $300 , considering the risk involved and not getting a full warranty.
