Used AT Gold Hard To Find

I am surprised how hard it is to find a good used AT Gold. I had a AT Pro but gave it away to a close friend to get him into the 21st century. I am now looking for a AT Gold to have for a backup water machine/prospecting machine to my Etrac. I have been searching all the forums and local classifieds and the they seem few and far between. I see a lot of AT Pro's for sale. Is it because people hang on to them or do you think the AT Pro's or just more popular ?

I have one, and it's one " to keep detector". I like the threshold, the all metal mode , and the iron audio on it. It hits hard on good targets and with the 5x8 , very little gets away. And unless you want to dig to china, I also have the bigger nel coil for it. Great machine for the money.

You might want to holler out with a WTB on the "Detectors for sale" Forum, or even get in touch with some of the sponsoring FindMall Distributors to keep an eye out for one? You know, when they are talking to a person who may want to trade? Just a thought...you gotta be serious though, have cash in hand, or you are just wasting time..good for you to give a Pal your AtPro! :clapping::please: He must be a very good friend, one of those that helps you move or hide a body kind of friends!....not many folks can say they have a friend like that!

Yep he is a good friend....he spent countless hours on helping me build a cabin an would not take any pay....he was using a 80's Whites analog machine that his wife's ex husband left in the shed . We would spend hours detecting and you could tell he was getting frustrated using the old detector but could not afford one and my AT was sitting in the corner waiting to be used as a backup to the etrac .....so I gave it to him to use, when he went to return it I told him that was the way I wanted to pay him for helping me....he has been knocking ithe silver dead using it. I have always believed in paying it forward.....now I am looking out for a AT Gold to backup the Etrac and GoldBug II before Spring comes.

I have an AT-Gold and I plan on being buried with it that's how much I love this machine! It has found me more silver than any machine I have ever owned!

A little off topic of my original post, but my 18 year old daughter, who is attending a Ducks Unlimited Banquet, literally just called my wife as I was typing and told her she won me a Winchester SXP Waterfowl Hunter 12 Gauge shotgun...I don't believe in coincidence...just in paying it forward !!:clapping: . See my second post on this thread.

Good to see a blessed Man pass it on a little...and get some blessings in return!
(You know this guy did it right when he has a daughter going to a DU event!) Great work there Dad!

Coincidence.

I just saw one in a store yesterday, selling at 600 Euros.
Brand new, refunded because the buyer didn't know how to use it.
Should I maybe go for it?
