:usan: Yo ho me hardies, yo ho!....

Yesterday was Katie's seventh birthday. She invited 9 friends over for cake and ice cream, and a treasure hunt later that day.

Leanna sculpted and painted Katie's favorite Pokemon for her cake.

The treasure hunt went like this... on the table was a locked treasure box. The search was to find the key, and that was done by maps found at 16 different locations around the property. For example, one map was inside a corked bottle floating in the horse trough. Another map was high in an old knot of a tree, others were hidden in stumps, behind gravestones, etc.

The last treasure note declared that the key was hidden on the collar of Tumble, our faithful pirate dog, who had been running after these kids the whole time... He must have lost his eye-patch in the melee that followed.

Returning to the house with the key, they finally got to open up the treasure chest which was full of gold and silver... (candy). Look at the faces on these kids. Once the chest was open, the bootie was divided amongst the scallywags and a good time was had by all.
