:usaflag: Yesterdays Hunt!! Over A Half Oz. Of Silver!! :detecting:

Deep sand and calm water awaited me at the private beach where I hunted yesterday. They are hard to find along the Connecticut shore when the cold west wind races down the Sound stirring up the water into white caps as far as you can see.

This spot is not water hunted very much due to accessability, but as a local resident with a friend who has a house in this private beach area, I have a rare parking space within a short walk of the water.

The sand there is bottomless it seems as I have never found a bottom yet and I have dug some huge holes chasing targets.

The area is maybe two football fields in size and targets are deep stretching out for about a hundred yards from the water's edge at low tide.

The wind gusts made it difficult for me to hear the weak signal of the deep targets, but I still managed to recover some clad, some old brass swim suit buckles and junk and .66 Troy Oz of silver.

The one ring was heavily encrusted and when I finally managed to break away the stone/silver oxide coating there was a very thin silver ring left.

Gold settles way down into the sand and I'm hoping that when I can hunt the area with calm conditions I will be able to hear those deep Dual Field signals and Diablo diggum!!

Until next time,

CJ
