Twenty minutes or so into todays hunt I recovered an earring that looked like it might be silver and moved on to the next target.

Two hours into the hunt and after traveling 75 feet or so down the beach in knee deep water and most of the way back again I recovered the second earring!!

In all the years I've hunted I have done this a couple of other times, but the jewels were never as nice as these sterling silver beauties!!

41 targets recovered including sinkers, two fish hooks, a few coins and the earings with the usual bottle caps and other junk metal made for an interesting 21/2 hour hunt!!

It was getting dark when I headed for the van and since this weekend is supposed to have lousy weather I was glad I took the time to "get out there"!!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

thats some skilled huntin!!!!

I love it when you find the set...Isnt that a sense of completion...LOL Nice work my friend!

Finding one:good job......Finding both:Would you even think about taking that bet???..and to not even know the other one is out there ....You are the man!!!!!!

Nice finds!

They sure look painful to wear. I wonder who in the world decided that putting a hole in yourself and then hanging silver or gold in those holes is a good idea?

Good thing they do though because there seems to be a lot of those things around.

One of life's mysteries brought on by men and women trying to improve upon natures handywork!

Thanks for your reply Friend,

Thanks for all your replies Friends!

Now I'll see if a buffing wheel will clean them up enough to allow them to be added to the arsenal of one of my Granddaughters.

GL&HH,

CJ

Been there done that!!

They were a pretty junk pair of silver plated brass and hooked together as if some one had taken them off so they wouldn't lose them.

Oh well!!

I may hold the record for gold rings in one scoop too!

Seven 14K gold rings in one scoop!

Three white gold and four yellow gold all entwined in a puzzle ring!

Talk about exciting!!!

Found two in one scoop another time.

One was a tiny child's yellow gold plain band and the other was a class ring in the same scoop!!

It was not uncommon in the '80s to find five or six gold rings in one hunt at the local beaches.

Two times I found 6 in a hunt!

Sadly those times are long gone,
