Yep!! Mr. Dual Field was acting kinda crazy from all the late afternoon plane, train and boat radio interference, but Diablo and I persisted and came away winners!!

I guess St. Christopher took pity on this Old Hunter for being foolish enough to try to hunt at peak traffic time of day with a PI and steered my coil to 27 targets which Diablo recovered (with a little help from me) including 1st a silver toe ring, 2-silver dimes, a 12K plated St. Chris medal, 1-14K St. Chris medal and a 14K wedding band. (6.7Grams of 14K Friends!!)

After 21/2 hours of cold water hunting headed home to a hot shower just as the last light of day faded away of to the west.

You do alright for only a couple of hours...must be those years of experience helping out eh?
Mud

Some nice stuff there specially the gold and silver.:clapping:

I think he seeds the area,,,,

He needs the 'YOU SUCK" award.

Here I am, all snowed in ..... :ranting:

Seriously though, really well done Cupajo. One of these days, I will be making finds like that...

Many thanks for your "mostly" kind replies Friands!!

JUst to keep things in perspective Friends----

2013---12 Water Hunts so far totallyng 28Hrs, 355 Targets Recovered, 5-Gold and 1- Tiffany silver.

GL&HH,

CJ

Cj, When I started about 10 years ago, wow didn't think it was that long. I could find 2 - 6 gold rings a day. Maybe you had the same experience in your neck of the woods? Its getting harder now. More people are after it. The old gold is drying up. People can't afford new so stainless, tungsten, and titanium are introduced and sold at super high prices and they are worthless.

I am glad your getting it while you can. I do love your success rate. And yes you and I and a few others know , you have to put in the time. Gold doesn't just jump in your scoop. BUT you and I and a few others keep hunting and do not quit.

What absolutely amazes me about your finds is how little trash and targets you actually get. I don't even try to count my junk targets. Well over 100 each time I go out. Anyway, love your stories and I am going crazy wanting to get out. LOL snowing here again this morning and 28 degrees. Frustrating to say the least.

Keep up stories of the hunts! Hope you have many more years of success and fun in the water.

Thanks SD!!

This year so far the average is 29 targets recovered per hunt or 13 targets per hour.

The average for last year was 11 targets per hour. (I believe in going slow and hopefully not missing anything!!)

Most of the places I hunt have been hunted by some of the best hunters around and it surprises me when I can still find anything, much less old gold or other keepers!!

Regards,

CJ

Very Nice Lew. your one of the OldMaster Hunters...

Nice work CJ. The pendant is cool :). It s only because of your decent equipment, skill in using it and experience, that you have such good results. I worked out my success rate for finding gold, I piece every 7 hours. All the best, and I hope that this year is a great success for you. You return so many rings to their owners that you deserve to find more. Keep up the good work, I love seeing your finds. Water wizard.

Thanks for your frequent posts. I have the fever but live in Minnesota so it will be a few weeks before the ice & snow are gone. You & others keep us frozen northerners entertained with all your great finds. Keep up the good work!

We (MR.Dual Field, Diablo and I) earn every keeper Friend!!

Today after 2 hours I had a "maybe" silver toe ring, a silver Rosie dime, and some clad to show for my efforts!!

It was still great to get out even if I almost froze my toes and fingers off!!
