:detecting: Well I went to a tot lot for about 1

I rarely have the patience to dig in AM, so lower the DISC to 3 or so. I reckon I miss a few fine chains, but oh well. I keep my sanity!

Nice chain Bill.

Nice to find one not broken.

Tha Vaquero will hit on those chains real good in

tha disc mode also.

It will go pretty deep on those silver ones but not

as good on tha beaded ones. It's because they

are a ferrous metal.

Gold chains will resopnd well and tha V gets good

depth on them.

I am real impressed with it's sensativity to small gold.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

This excellent outing of you leads me to a question : which coil was used on the V ?

Chains, and especially 18K gold ones, are pretty difficult to find...

Congrats !

Nick

I am using the standard Vaquero coil. This machine hits small items, at a better depth, with the standard coil than any I have used. It will read a bb at about 4 inches or better. I have dug several. Every once in a while, in sand, I will read something I can not find after I get it out. Bill in Texas

I keep findin tha same thing Bill.

Tha V will hit good on gold chains in tha

disc mode.

It has better depth on them than my Euro Sabre.

I keep tha 5.75 coil on it. But it is very sensative

with tha stock coil as well.

I like tha seperation of tha 5.75.

:detecting: Tabdog I hunt the V a lot with the red button pressed and the discrimination set on foil. When I hit a target I just lift my finger off the red pinpoint button and sweep again. If it even chirps both directions I dig it. Do you hunt the V that way? The Areas where I go are close to home and hunted to death by those Yellow machines and even a White or two. they keep the tot lots clean of most coins, pull tabs and the like. I dig more foil than most anything else, but I find my share of the small rings, chains and the like. I even dig a few paper clips. I don't post rings here because every time I have showed them in the past, a certain person claims that they are theirs when I know that they are not. I will give back every piece of jewelry that a person can describe without seeing a picture of what I have found before describing it to me. Bill in Texas :tesoro:
