Two hours of hunting yesterday netted me lots of aluminum nuggets, the usual rusty nails etc. and 1 penny!
Two hours today resulted in the same kinda nuggets (From cans melted in beach fires I think!), more nails etc, one nickle and this fine 14K beauty!
[attachment 189453 Watersedgehunt3-2-11045LargeLarge.jpg] You can see the holes I left as the in-coming tide was filling them almost as fast as I could and no-one was walking that close to the water anyway as cold as it is!
[attachment 189454 Watersedge2047LargeLarge.jpg] The Dual Field and "Poor Man's Backhoe" did it again!
[attachment 189455 Watersedge3048LargeLarge.jpg] That is the "ring" finger!
[attachment 189456 Watersedge4050LargeLarge.jpg] My first square-cornered ring!
[attachment 189457 Watersedge5053LargeLarge.jpg] 14K white gold!!
When I finished the picture taking I looked back down my series of holes and there was a lady strolling through them like she was on a sidewalk!!
I told her that I hadn't covered the holes as I was sure no-one would be walking that close to the water and she just shrugged her shoulders.
We had a short chat about what I was doing and as always I placed emphasis on the rusty nails and wire I was removing to protect the children and general public.
She was the only person I saw on the beach.

PS That is the first and last time I ever left open holes while hunting!!
