:usaflag: Two Hours of Cold Water Hunting!!:detecting:

When I arrived at the beach the water was calm with a slight breeze out of the north which usually cause no problem for water hunting this beach.

The moment I finished climbing into my waders, picking up my gear and headed to the water's edge, the wind picked up and switched to the north west which I knew would kick up swell in a short while.

I waded out to waist deep at low tide and managed a two hour hunt before the waves started getting me wet and I had to leave the 40F water.

[attachment 190807 MiscLarge.jpg] I ended up with a couple of silver quarters and 1-clad dime and three newer style pennies.

The one quarter is a 1927 standing Liberty and the other is a newer pattern, which I left covered in the sandy crust for comparison.

These two silver coins came from a place heavily hunted for many years and I have personally hunted it many times.

The Dual Field sounded off loud and clear on both these coins re-assuring me that it is doing a great job!

As an older gent who prefers creature comfort it was too cold for me too!

There windy air temp was up to mid-40sF though which is balmy compared to what we have had recently.

This AM it is 34F and still. The water is calm and I am thinking that if I bundle up enough -----------------

The water don,t' come up to fast but the air sure does. I found an old cabin foundation this week while clearing horse trails with the wife. Hope to detect it at the end of the week on the quad. Don't know how I missed that one but I did. With all the compression from the winter snow it stuck out pretty well off the side of a trail I have traveled often. Guess I need to slow up on the quad a little. Geo
