My hunting Pal Frank and I waded out into Long Island Sound's cold waters at 8AM as the tide was almost half way to low and started cleaning up nails, wire and misc. other junk which the Dual Fields can find so well.

This was the local beach where I recovered a Mom's ring on my birthday and we were hoping the small area of thinned out sand would give up another bit of gold.

Almost 2 hours into a 31/2 hour hunt Diablo deposited this class ring in my sifter!

Somehow a piece was broken off the ring and strangely it was the part that told the year on the outside and the persons initials on the inside!

I searched for the piece and couldn't find it. I'm left with insufficient info to find the owner so I guess the Treasure Gods want me to keep this one!!

GL&HH Friends,

Yes that is strange...for a big ring returner like you it must be awful! Hows about just sending it on to me and lets call it a day!

All three of my kids graduated from this school in the small town where I've lived for 43 years.

I may know the girl who lost the ring, but thanks to the missing piece I'll never know who.

Send it to you? I'll have to think on it!!

Sometimes you just have to listen when the God is trying to give you a message. Of course another part of the message may come in the future if you get the missing piece. Congrats on the ring!

Thanks for your replies Friends!!

The ring was lodged in among some large stones and somehow the scoop must have broken the piece off.

It still could show up one day!
