Treasure hunting gods smiled down on this old hunter today!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

but I had to do the digging!!!

Temps near 50F, wind creating choppy seas, sun shining, water still in
mid-40sF means access to a sheltered part of the Rock Garden and 3 hours of water hunting.

Almost a half hour in I found the sterling pendent, at nearly 2 hours into the hunt, the .72Troy OZ. 14K bracelet,21/2 hours in the silver ID bracelet.

Heavy waders, lots of high tech thermals, Mr. Dual field, Diablo and I had a real workout.

Hoping for some more tomorrow friends,

CJ

PS Did I mention I prefer my gold in piles!!

Just an amazing day there, Cupajo! Way to work that spot! Such a mild winter, eh? Good inspirational post for us! Thanks.
Mud

Hey Mud,

Nice hearing from you and my other hunting Friends!

The handle moves on the little slot machine, but I don't know if it ever "worked".

Both little sombreros have dates on them, '82 & '05.

Lots of memories there I'm sure.

Crazy weather---from 50s to low teens to near 50F in a week on the shore of Long Island Sound!!

Water is cold, but still do-able with enough thermals and 5Mil Neoprene waders. (Waders heavy though and wears this Old Hunter down after a 2-3 hour hunt! Warmer waters and a shorty wet suit and I'm good for twice as long!)

My new, insulated "Polar Paws with a pair of poly liners kept hands comfy.

Only a couple of clad quarters, two nickels, one pennie and several pieces of junk were recovered in spite of RF interference for most of the hunt.

Lots of air/train traffic to deal with, which masked weaker target signals, but strong signals blasted through the chatter.

Thanks for your replies Fellow Hunters!!

GL&HH,

CJ
