This is what's left after editing an hour plus of the Dual Field and Diablo scoop doing their thing.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

Wayne and Kelly, it is a pleasure to find your replies here.

I know you both have many things going on that prevent us from hearing from you as often as in the past.

I've been missing you along with several other "regulars" and I pray life has been treating youall well,

CJ

Sure enough, it was you. Nice job and great public relations for folks detecting the beaches. Keep up the good work.

Mikie, George and Buck,

Many thanks Friends for your replies.

I know by the numbers posted that my posts are being read and I'm fine with that, but there is nothing like a simple reply to make an Old Hunter's day!!

My very best wishes to you three and as for the rest of you----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have a nice day,

CJ

My digging partner "Al" and I were tag teaming a water hunt (he detecting, me snorkeling and retrieving) last weekend, when we found a 1948 University of Tennessee/Knoxville Class Ring with the name "Charles H. Cain" inscribed inside the band.

He was able to contact the wife of the owner and learned that Mr. Cain died in 1965. Before he died, he gave the ring to his son, who lost it 6 years ago.

Al returned the ring to the owner's family yesterday. They offered a reward, but he graciously refused.

This is the second ring in about four weeks that Al has been able to reunite with either the original owner, or a family member.

Greg, that's a great story of kindness and joy!

We have an opportunity to bring joy to another person's life and I feel obliged to do so when I can!

Sometimes good intentions have a way of biting you in the back-side though, so you have to temper them with common sense!

Thanks for your reply Friend,

CJ

Such a heart warming story. You make a wonderful ambassador for the rest of us.
