:usaflag:This Kinda Silver I Really Like!! :detecting:

An hour past dead low tide I decided it was worth the risk of getting soaked to take advantage of the slow work day and the very low moon-phase tide.

Rain is forcast, but held off for the 2 hours I dodged waves that were getting larger as I got more into my hunt.

Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and this Old Hunter waded out 75 yards or so where the waves were still low enough at waist depth that they reached just below my waders top as they passed.

Wearing a rain jacket belted snugly over my waders keeps any briefly passing waves outa my waders, but will not keep the water out if I wade in below the tops of my waders.

Among the first finds recovered from among the stones at that depth was a nice large silver ring.

It appears hammered and is marked 925, the one cross is silver and the other brass coated with silver.

I think they were both lost by the same person as they were only a foot or so appart.

The 1" brass tag appears to be a key tag, but maybe it's someone's "lucky" number

Just to the left of the brass screw is a car key heavily encrusted in sand etc.

At almost exactly 2 hours into the hunt after dancing with waves, trying not to trip over my scoop or fall into one of my holes or over one of the large stones littering the bottom, especially during the last hour, a big wave splashed over my shoulders sending me staggering!!

Ole Ma Nature was sending me home and this Old Hunter does pay attention to what she tells me!!

23 Targets recovered is as good as these conditions allow so I am content with the results of my hunt.

CJ
