At 3:30 Pm I waded out into Long Island Sound to see if I could help my Friend Frank out by removing some of the sinkers he has been plagued with at one of out local beaches.

Two pieces of trash and over a dozen (Final count 15 sinkers plus aa large Octopus hook!) sinkers later I started a scouting hunt into a near-by spot that is subject to radical sand movement and must be monitored to keep up with what is happening there.

I found a small section that was free of sand and I worked the deep water edge of the cobble-stone bed where I found my first bronze spike, a thin Merc and this 10K signet ring.

About another hour of hunting this spot with nothing, but a few bottle caps and junk metal for a total of 40 targets recovered made me glad to see the sun-set so I could call it quits for the day!!

For 31/4 hours Mr.Dual Field, Diablo and I got a real workout!!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ
