This AM I took my Sov. GT with SEF coil and my home made sand scoop for a slow and easy pass on an imaginary path down the "blanket" line for about 1/2mile and recovered three junk targets including a bottle cap and two snap tops off cans.
My Friend Mike told me he had seen two men and a boy on the beach after the rain stopped yesterday and they were there all afternoon.
I reasoned that since the tide was high for most of that time I would carefully search the water-line for the 3/4 of a mile of beach and was pleased to quickly recover two quarters from the same hole that filled with water from the incoming tide very quickly.
One more quarter, one penny and one nickle along with many snap tops, bottle caps and aluminum nuggets were the total take for the entire 3/4 mile stretch of water-line.
Not one new drop in the bunch.
Maybe one of the seasonal storms will uncover more decent targets sometime before year's end. In the mean time I will just keep scouting for shifting sand exposing some good hunting!!
