:usaflag: Side by side comparisons of the belt plates...

[size=large]Here's pictures comparing the US 1881 cartridge belt plate, and the Winchester plate I found at the old chimney site the other day. The1881 US cartridge belt plate are listed as extremely rare, and valued at approx. $1500.00. The Winchester plate is also rare, but I haven't found a listing for its value. As you can see by the comparison, when I dug it, I thought it was a US military plate. After seeing the dog on it, I was kind of bummed out. But finding out about its history and its own rarity, hey... beats a jab in the eye with a sharp stick. :poke: [/size]
