I wanted the option of using my Sovereign GT on dry land as well as water/wet/dry sand hunting.

After re-connecting the Min-lab electrical connector to the SEF cable (I had removed it to connect the coil to my old Excal Sword which died!) I mounted it on the factory shaft and set it up for hunting the dry.

Now I have a Sovereign In A Box and a dry land set-up and am ready to go!!

A trial run for a couple of hours on a heavily sanded in beach resulted in these targets recovered and now I am satisfied the 10X12 SEF coil is ready to hunt.

The cheap "Scorpion" butterfly knife is illegal to carry in most places, but if I can clean it up maybe I can use it in my workshop to pull staples.

You said DRY LAND.... did you mean DRY SAND? If you are going to LAND hunt you can do it.... but get ready for far more trash than you have there. I took another approach and have and ML SE for dry sand and land. Oooo..... i have an Xcal also just in case.
