Bill in Texas

New member
:detecting: Just a look at the truck bed with two of my five Tesoros and hunting tools. It has a lockable heavy duty fiber glass cover. Bill In texas :tesoro:

Looks like my truck when I go relic hunting, its an all day affair. Got to have everything, and a backup for each. Sometimes I throw in the weedeater. I'm going to P.M. you someday when I'm out around Kerrville.

My manual weed eater (red tool at top, second from left) that is sometime called a YO-YO. Bill In Texas

[size=medium]Hay Bill,

I keep a small yoyo in my trunk along

with about an extra everything.

I have five Tesoro'es also.

Euro Sabre
Vaquero
Silver Sabre uMax
Compadre 7" coil
Compadre 5.75 coil

What are your other three Tesoro'es?

Just wonderin. Not many people sport 5 Tesoro'es.

Happy Huntin,

:detecting: Well Tabdog since you asked, now I have a Inca, Silver Umax, Bandido Umax, Vaquero and a Compadre (5 3/4). I also have a BH Red Baron, and a Minelab MF1 ( it finds property stakes faster than any thing else I have used). I have had in the past a Tesoro Mayan and a Toltec 100. Some other detectors that I have owned were Jetco Master Hunter, Hays coin shooter, Wilson Newman Chief, Wilson Newman Daytonia, Garrett Ground Hog, Garrett Master Hunter 7ADS, Compass XP Pro, Bounty Hunters 840 and 900, Whites 4900 DI, Whites Classic II and a couple others that I can not even remember the names of. I have also used a friend of mine's White 6000 DI Pro (blue Box). I still like the Tesoro detectors the best. I just love the Lighting fast response between targets and no I don't care for a meter. I started hunting in 1969 or 1970. and have owned a detector most of the time since. Yep I am one of the crazies and I enjoy your post very much. Bill In Texas :tesoro:

I have a "pssobles bag," to borrow a term from the old Mountain Men. In it I have scoops and trowels and spare headphones and batteries and all manner of accoutrements. I normally keep it in the truck, so I just grab a detector or two and I'm out the door.
Now I see I need to get a Yo-Yo!

Wow that's great Bill.

You have way surpassed me. You must know a lot about

MD's.

I owned one of the original Technatics about 25 years ago.

It broke and I didn't get another for many years. Then I got

a BH QD II and then a Garratt GTAx500, a Fisher 1266 and

a CZ something. Then I had an Cibola, an Eldorado and

another Euro Sabre.

All I have now is my 5 Tesoro'es.

Happy Huntin,

Tabdog

Guys, you're not the only ones - I have five Tesoros as well - Tiger Shark, Eldorado, DeLeon and 2 Silver Sabre umaxes (one's my wifes').As well as aClassic III Coinmaster and an MXT by Whites. They all have their pluses and minuses and they all get used. Also have a pretty complete selection of coils to fit. Only problem now is winter is setting in here and I'll be going thru detecting withdrawals for the next few months. Dig deep, dig often.

Barberbill, you just need to make a trip to south Texas over christmas vacation, we don't have any of that frozen ground here.

Wish I could.

Bill, You're in Kerrville?? That's my hometown, several generations of my family lived there, still got a brother, neice and mom there. My neice has a Garrett I gave her, but not sure she uses it much, too busy at work I guess. You might want to put a little dynamite in the box if anything's over a couple of inches deep. Only place I ever knew where the rocks actually grew up out of the ground!!
