:usaflag:Question about the GTI 2500..

:usaflag:I was just wondering...What is TreasureHound and Eagle Eye pinpointing? Are these features standard on the 2500 or are they extra? I've been scanning EBay and some sellers mention these features and some don't. Mainly curious but I do intend to own one someday.

These are two separate things. The treasurehound attachment is for the CX series made by Garret. The Eagleeye attachment is for the 2500. They basically turn your detector into a two box unit which is used for deep caches etc.. and they are extra $$$. I think if you're searching for treasure chests or ore bodies they would be nice extras but for general metal detecting just buy several different coil sizes to cover most applications.

Here's a pic. They are a seperate item, and it is used to find larger deep items such as caches and other buried treasures. The won't pick up one single coin, however, will pick up larger items, and will detect them in feet, not inches.

:usaflag:That would explain why one seller claimed that his 2500 would scan 18 to 20 feet deep...I was like...what the f***? Who the heck is going to dig 18 feet for a coin? haha!! Guess I should have read into it a bit more. Thanks for the article too...good reading.
