The water was near perfect, the day a little too chilly for me with the sun in and outa the clouds, but we still had a good time sharing a hunt. It's always interesting to see how each hunter searches for targets.

Joe carries his scoop on his shoulder while Frank and I drag ours along behind us. (I didn't notice how Craig carries his.)

Craig and Joe covered a lot of ground getting the feel of the unfamiliar turf, but still managed to recover a fair amount of targets.

I settled into a spot where the sand had thinned out a bit and after 3 hours had recovered 25 targets.

One day if the sand ever clears out.............................!?

This tiny silver plate on brass dancer and lovely silver cross were my spotlite finds for the hunt.

Guys I'm sorry you traveled so far without taking home gold, but you must admit, based on your years of hunting experience, that any one of you targets recovered could have been gold!!

We hunters live in hope and make the best of every hunt.

PI Joe with Frank in the red hat beyond the breakwater and Craig working waters edge.

This spot has been sanded in and seems to change from day to day.

Part of it offered fair hunting yesterday and the rest was heavily covered.

Somehow we still managed to find and recover enough targets to make it a satisfactory hunt.

Joe, it was a perect day for hunting, but there are often days when this beach front is swept with waves too rough to hunt in.

If it's not too wild the off-shore sand bar often slows waves down enough to allow hunting.
