The day after my double gold hunt I started suffering with the sinus/chest congestion thing that seems to slow me down each spring and early winter.
It has taken me a couple of weeks for the last two or three years to clear away the congestion enough that I can get back to a "normal" life.
This AM I had about all the "taking it easy" I could stand and suited up in my 2 piece 7-Mil, wet suit, loaded up Mr. Dual Field and Diablo and headed to the place where I found the recent gold.
It has a sheltered cove that allows hunting with less waves when the wind is outa the W/SW. This wind will usually stir up waves that can make hunting less than fun at the local beaches!!!
My first five targets were clad dimes and then a silver Rosie to stop me from grumbling and finally a clad quarter etc.
My first ring was brass, then a silver religious medal, silver ring, a hollow silver ear-ring, a buffalo nickel, a stage coach and the little platinum ring (3.5 Gr.) with 20 diamonds and 20 saphires!! That made my day!! The large bracelet seems to be silver, but there are no marks to verify it.

41/4 Hours into the hunt and 58 targets later I snapped out of it and decided I had better haul my old carcass home while I still could.
Things are lookin up Friends, this is only my second platinum find since 1982!!!! (The last one was a wedding band I had been asked to find.)
