Just so those of you that are not into metal detecting understand---these treasures are the result of either five or six hunting excursions (I lost track!!) totalling 25 or more hours of hunting and digging!!

It's easy for a casual reader un-familier with "T Hunting" to not realize how much time and effort go into bringing home the prize even with the best equipment such as the Dual Field I've been using and years of experience!

Today it was only three hours and yesterday nearly four hours etc, etc!!

The salt air, mild temps and exercise make me happy and healthier so I'll keep on as long as I'm able!!

A small woman's senior ring dated 1920 of 14K gold as the old ones used to be!!

The other one is anyone's guess and the solitare too!!

Outstanding find,I've never found a class ring myself. .I believe it's an honor to find one because it directly links you to an individual,a school and a place in time, which in this case is 89 years ago.How Cool is that?Congrats on a very nice find

Thanks for your kind words Jasper!

Hunting beaches offers the best opportunity for finding any rings, but of course like all treasure, it is where you find it!!

Rings have been found about everywhere humans enjoy their outdoor leisure and sometimes where they work as well.

I've found them in flower beds and parking lots and have heard of them being found in farmers fields and on ski slopes.

One never knows, but one thing is certain, keep hunting and sooner or later the odds are that you will find one, stop hunting and your odds drop way down!!

GL&HH Friend,

Good job Cupajo,
You still using that Infinium?

I have shelved the Infinium for now.

It is one fine machine, but I wanted to work with the Dual Field a while and I am finding it to be easy to use with no "chatter" which does bother me after a while.

The LS is also constantly affected by local electrical interference requiring fairly frequent tuning.

It does find the "goodies" though and I have no plans to get rid of it.

There are other beaches where I am considering using it.

Thanks for your reply,

CJ

Hey there again Cupajo,

Yes I know the Infinium is a little chatty in the surf. I dont understand why people buy it for that. They should get the Sea Hunter Mark II instead. I have talked to Garrett about this and there are quite sick of hearing about the Infinum being crap or broken or not working right in the surf from beach hunters, when all actuality it was designed for Gold Prospecting and is very sensitive compared to beach PI's. In a way the water proof feature of the Infinium is it's achillies heel for prospecting as far as updating it for more features like Minelab updates every 2 years or so.

Good to see you still finding the goodies.

Alan

There is a small beach I hunted once where there used to be a resort hotel.

The hotel is long gone, but I knew two elderly gents (now gone too) who worked there as "beach boys" in its hay-day.

They told of women losing jewelry there and how to locate the place.

There were a few finds, but I was plagued by "hot rocks" and gave up after a while.

I was using my XL500 PI machine and someday I would like to try the LS there.

Don't get me wrong though about using the LS in the water.

It worked amazingly well and once I got past the so called "learning curve" I found more than enough goodies to pay for the machine.

Thanks again Allan for your info, and reply,

CJ

Don't know what you're on John, but the pictures are two shots of the same ring!

I appreciate your reply never the less Friend!
