How did I ever get along without "Books for Dummies"?

And "The Idiots Guides" Have opened a whole new world for me !!

And who are the "Idiots" and "Dummies" that are so smart they can write these books with authority??

And if they are that smart, how can the books be trusted when the writers are obviously LIERS?

And then "Face Book" and "The Internet" and all the other wonders that have come along in the past 10 or so years----------------WOW!!

Oh well------------just wondering?????????

I never put anything on there I give a good rip about people knowing and besides almost everything about you is available if someone wants to pay a few bucks.

I think many people using it are just lonely, playing that stupid azzed game Farmville and others like it. Some make posts about what they had for breakfast. Like who gives a good rats azz?

I can keep in communication with guys like Dave VT and others.

I have found people that I have not talked to in 50 years, that I worked with or went to school with and it is fun to catch up. I ran into a few that it was a reminder why I have not been in contact too

It works both ways though I have made contact with some and deleted them from my friends list and been deleted by others Some have hundreds of friends listed and I wonder who they hell they are kidding. I just have people as friends that I would break bread with.

my biggest reason for not using it is personal.
We all know that grandkids tend to be wrapped up in their own lives and often do not think of contacting grandparents (unless they want something). My daughter mentioned that the grand daughters would correspond with me and keep me updated more often if i got facebook. (they live 800 miles from me and her being a woman of course will spoil or enable them)
Well that ticked me off and i said that i would not play games and be conned by kids taking an easy way out! It is not that they have no contact at all with me but it is sparse and i think that is almost normal for teens.

I also said that since they have always known my email address and have unlimited telephone long distance that their statement was a crock and a lame excuse for being too lazy. For cripe sakes! I live with the fact that kids never use a pen and paper anymore but not will accept that kind of BS!
My daughter actually agreed with me and i have had a few phone calls and emails so she must have "educated" them

Seems to me that peeps from my past that I WANT TO contact are fair easy to find and so am i just by asking another friend or family member.

I've never had a problem on it. I like for contact with my kids throught out the day. Just short blurps. I'm not a phone user so it works great for me....
I set a page up for the dirt bike club also as its mostly young people or older folks who are into electronic stuff. Royal comes to mind.... For the birt bikes, it brought us in a heck of a lot of spectators for the race events. Mostly young folks looking for something to do on a weekend.

when I was a young kid, growing up in Keego Harbor. I'll be darned if there were not some people showing up that went to school with me and helped me identify people and reminded me of things that happened way back then. Many I had forgotten in the 60 or so years since.

You have seen my page. Just a bunch of funny videos and bantering, much like this page. I don't play the games and never will but it is just an easy way to stay in contact on a personal level. I can only have the friends I wish to see my page but I let anyone.

Some people post some boring crap and I just ignore them.

I used to go to my Grandkids pages but to tell the truth, that is about as boring as watching milk curdle. They are good kids but the only thing we have in common is genes.

I like it but don't get too wrapped up in it. I enjoy being able to check out your page, Dave and Willy. I wish more would get into it but to each their own.

My girls are always sending me pictures of the grandkids to my email, with face book I can pick out which ones I want to keep. Plus I have found a lot of old friends on face book. I don't get on that much, and sure not going to play games and send hungs and flowers on it. Sure not going to have 900 friends, like Royal said just people I would break bread with. I know my aunt removed me over The Obama clock that I got from Royal, I forgot to say Thanks You Royal , She is the biggest Liberal in the state of Texas. I knew when she sent me a friends request it won't be for long, I think it took less than a week for her to remove we from her friends list.

typing to. If I let them on and I see a bunch of Farmville or Fish junk come up, I delete them, my grand daughter one of them. I like it for post clips etc, its a very easy system to use. I keep Xing out all the stuff I don't want on the far right and after a day or 2 they are gone.... It works good with U-tube....If it gets to be a pain in the butt, just hit delete. Fact I have, they don't really delete, they just kind of put you inhibernation so If you want it back, hit activiate and its back like it was.....
