My hunting Buddy Frank, Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and I spent a little over 4 hours at the local swimming areas today searching for non-existant fresh drops.

We removed lots of junk metal, mostly bottle caps, my total targets recovered= 37 including a couple of nasty fish-hooks and a sinker, a little over a dollar in clad coins, a smashed .22 bullet, a huge, black stainless steel (316) ring and a little jewel of an old, gold ring.

The band is worn enough that the seam is parted and the hallmark is gone.

It tests at 14K.

As I was leaving the water headed home, a scantily clad lady asked if I had found anything good.

My usual reply will nearly always bring a smile to the person's face----------------- "41/4 hours of peace and quiet and about a $1,000.00 worth of exercise!!"

One of my favorite things SD!!

Icecream that is!!!

It's always fun hunting with CJ, even though I don't find the good stuff most of the time , he does, and never lets me down. I'm just as excited when he finds gold as when I do....as long as one of us score, it's just "icing on the cake" .

I love how old that ring looks, Great find CJ.:clapping:

Many thanks for all your kind replies Friends!!

Fairly constant scouting of sand movement locally has given me access to some old gold in the past couple of years, but there are fewer recent drops than I ever dreamed possible!!

Maybe next time!!??
