:usaflag: It Was 7:30PM And The Beach Was Calling So What Was I To Do!! :detecting:

7:30PM found me getting a little "stir crazy" so I headed to the beach to finish the day off right!!

When I arrived an old acquaintance of mine was leaving after a couple of hours of hunting and I had second thoughts about "following in his tracks, but I have learned that no-one gets it all, so I aimlessly covered the beach he had already hunted using a pattern of sorts.

Not long into my short hunt I found a penny and thought that was a good sign and proof once again that no-one gets it all!

Soon I had a half-dollar or so of coins and found a cheap ring (pretty though) and shortly I had a dollar or so in coins and this beautiful 1" tall, 14K crucifix.

Some of the coins were almost in my friends tracks and I know that he doesn't miss much with his high end White's dry land machine, but the little Garrett's Ace 250 is one nice little dry sand beach machine and it doesn't miss much either with the larger coil.

I think I may have gained an edge by not following his pattern, but then again maybe I just got lucky!

I took a friend to a doc appt and had about an hour to hunt a nearby soccer field. I found a nice 10k gold ring in 20 min. A week later I made a special trip to the same soccer field thinking it would be rich with finds. I spent 3hrs and only uncovered clad and a ton of trash. Sometimes its just swinging the coil over the right spot.

Very nice find BTW
