:usaflag: I Like My Gold In A Pile Instead Of A Small Piece At A Time!! :detecting:

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours cleaning bottle caps and misc. junk metal from a hundred yard stretch of beach in the water along the water's edge.

One fishing sinker and three clad quarters didn't offer much to brag about.

Today was a good day to get out in the water and enjoy the nice weather.

There was an annoying ground swell that was hitting the sand bar about a hundred yards out from the waters edge and losing most of its power.

While the water was low enough to keep the swell in check , Mr Dual Field, Diablo and I managed to get in 4 hours of hunting in what I call "The Boulder Field".

This stretch of beach is somewhat protected and hasn't sanded in as badly as most of the other beaches in the area.

The only drawback is the quantity and size large stones out in the water that make digging a real challenge.

I recovered less junk metal farther away from the water's edge and managed to take home some clad, a sinker, 4 bullets and .61 Troy OZ of gold (Chain and larger cross 14K, two small medallions 18K)

A real workout, but all in all a good hunt!!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

You are a real consistent producer of the yellow goods. Another fine display of hunting talent. I hope I will be in good a shape as you are for hunting when I get to your age. Love to see your collection over the years. HH Marty

Lots of items in that hunt but the gold takes the cake. Congrats !

Light metal on one side and Heavy on the other. I like
Sometimes that heavy metal can be a burden to carry.

Good to see you got a pile of reward for your effort.:clapping:

Friends, as you know, we hunt for "treasure" as part of our hobby.

There is a simple formula for recovering treasure,

First, a person must have an interest that moves him to become a treasure hunter.

Then the hunter has to learn where the treasure may be found.

The necessary tools must be accumulated and then used in the most efficient and logical way to locate and recover the treasure.

The key words in this are "AND THEN USED"!!!

This is how I find treasure and have done so for many years.

I am especially pleased with this "pile" as I have found few chains over the years and have no doubt that the medallions enabled me to find this one.

I am grateful for all your kind replies.

It's always a pleasure to hear from my Aussie Friend Ivan.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting Fellow Hunters,

CJ

Thanks gobble-gobble!

A Friend has suggested that the only people he knows that regularly find gold in piles are proctologists!!
