Found mostly junk as is a PI thing with a couple of coins and a small senior ring.

I've never seen a ring with these markings and discolored as this one is so quickly.

It is for the class of 2009!

I should have no problem returning it, but am puzzled by what these markings (ACCR PSS PAT. PEND) mean.

It isn't any kind of gold I'm pretty sure.

It's a patent-pending alloy that looks vaguely like gold but isn't. They're making a lot of jewelry from it because the price of gold is so high.
