:usaflag: Help!! Looking For a Detector That Ignores Nails!!

When I started the hobby of metal detecting, I bought what at that time was one of the finest detectors available the Whites 6000DI. I found my first gold ring using it and after many hours of searching had lots of silver, but no more gold.

I learned about water hunting and built a waterproof Plexiglas case so that I could use the detector as a water machine. That

Use the reverse discr. on the LS. one report read that the owner could reduce nails to good targets from 1000:1 to 20:1, using this very feature.

Otherwise any machine with iron discrimination cranked up will help you with your quest. The F75 can be discriminated in the iron range (1-15) but a setting if disc.20 , DE mode and the machine somehow no longer has any disc depth loss and is very responsive to all targets 20 and up. Nickles are around 30. In short, if you want a machine to discriminate iron and not loose depth in discrimination, The F series does it in spades.

Nobody else has that feature that I know of, and it is often overlooked as one of the most significant features you can buy in today's designs. A deep seeker with fast response to give target id in tone and VDI. Can handle the mineralization on the beach.

I'm not familiar with the F-75, but thanks to you will check it out.

I've used the reverse disc. and it is a bother in that you have to crank the knob back and forth to engage the feature.

I also have a problem with the weight of the LS when I am using it out of the water.

Your info is first rate and appreciated.

Many thanks Friend,

CJ

Hi Bill,

At 67 I hold my own when it comes to doing most things, but swinging the Infinium is a chore on dry land.

I could use a "Swingy Thingy", but there is still the reverse discrimination thing to deal with.

It's much slower than I want for a dry land machine.

In the water or perhaps in the relic setting of Virginia it is hard to beat.

I'm going to see if one of my local friends has an Ace 250 for me to try out.

It seems to offer a lot of features and good performance for the cost.

GL&HH Friend,

CJ
