:usaflag: Had About All The Fun I could Stand For One Day!! :detecting:

When my daughter-in-law took this picture earlier today I was near the end of a 3 hour hunt. The blue shirt is a cool shirt designed to evaporate perspiration quickly and help the wearer stay cooler while protecting the skin from the sun.

The hunt yielded 4-small fishing sinkers, several nails and pieces of aluminum snap tops and bottle tops, 2 quarters, two nickles and 4 pennies along with a couple of silver dimes. I saw many of my neighbors and a few of my family on the beach and my son's, sons saw Grampa using his big yellow Dual Field for the first time!

I explained metal detecting to a dozen or so children and an equal number of adults and I must tell you Friends, this has been one of my most memorable birthdays ever!

Seventy years ago today my Mother brought me into this life and it's been a great one!!

I look forward to another hunt tomorrow, weather permitting, to find a dental bridge one of the new friends I made today asked me to find.

He showed me the place to look, but by then the tide was too high to hunt.

Wish me luck,

CJ

Happy Birthday CJ. Did you say you're going detecting for teeth . . ?! Now that's a new one, good luck.

Happy Birthday to you CJ and if I am having half the the fun that you are having at 70, I would be a lucky man.

Happy Birthday Leslie...Sounds like one heck of a day...I think I get the greatest enjoyment out of seeing the smiles on kids faces when I let them swing my machine...Teeth...Now THAT is different...I can see why they want them back with the prices of dental work these days...

HH,

Thanks for your replies Friends!!

Yeah teeth! He told me it was a bridge with two front teeth on it. Lots of activity at the beach again today, but I spent 4hours giving that new scoop and myself a real workout!!

A couple of hours looking for the bridge, but no teeth. It may have traveled with the tidal current so next I'll broaden my search.

I'm committed to finding them if possible.

Recovered a dozen or so coins coated with a black mineral deposit. I'll have to "peel" them to see what's inside.

Another pair of sunglasses in deep sand and a set of car keys plus the usual bottle caps etc.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

PS I wore a "Farmer John" shorty wet suit today and was comfortable in deeper water without having to worry about getting water in my waders. Last year a beach hunting Friend Everett bought the suit for himself and he decided he wasn't going in the water. He made a gift to me of the brand new suit (still had a tag on it!) and today was the first time I wore it.

Many Thanks Everett!!
.
