It was a beautiful afternoon for a hunt and I had a couple of hours before I had to get home to put ribs on the grill for a Friday dinner treat!!

In just under an hour of stony digging Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and I recovered this 9.3 Gram class ring from 1965. It is typically 10K, but in good shape from the protection offered by a large pail full of sand and stones covering it. (Except where the ring was joined into a circle-- the seam is eaten away from salt water.)

27 targets were removed from the stony sub-strate including a small ring that may be silver (unmarked), the class ring and a silver Rosie dime for keepers.

It has been 43 hours of hunting since my last gold!! (Kinda keeps it all in perspective don't it!!)

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

Knew you'd be along shortly...43 hrs is a pretty long window between gold..even for you, gotta remember some of those days of multiples you usually log.
Nice score, CJ!:clapping:

Thanks for your kind replies Friends!!

During those 43 hours of water hunting Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and I recovered more than 320 targets and among them were two fishhooks and a couple of lures from a very buisy swim area that were just under the sand's surface close to the water's edge!!!

Many sharp pieces of wire and nails, mostly rusty and one broken bottle!!

We are more than "Metal Detector Hunters" Friends!!

We also perform a public service.

GL&HH to you all,

CJ

Great job CJ - I love that DF in the water - how far out were you?

Waist deep at low tide.

I'm blessed with enough shallows locally to hunt during almost any phase of the tide.

Most of the area is sanded in, but in some spots the sand is moving constantly exposing keepers one day and covering them the next.

Just gotta be in the right place and ready to dig when the conditions are right.

Thanks for your reply Friend,

CJ
