:usaflag:Four Hours Of Windy Conditions Pay Off In Gold And Silver :detecting:

Got a call from an Old Hunting Buddy, Rich saying he was heading down to a local beach for a hunt and he asked if we might share a hunt. Well Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and This Old Hunter rarely pass a chance to hunt with a Water Hunting Friend!!

The wind made it a little difficult for me to hear those "soft" signals, but 36 targets still managed to find the way into my pouch.

Most of them were junk of course, but somehow I managed to end up with this small (A tight fit over the end of my pinky finger!) 10K ring and a nice chunky .925 ring too.

The silver was in the gravel near the water's edge and the gold was buried down in the stony substrate of a beach I have hunted for years as have several of my Friends. It came to light when I was chasing a piece of can slaw.

I put the aluminum in my pouch and recovered the ring from the same hole.

Later I dug another piece and dropped it in my pouch thinking it sure looked like the last one I placed in there.

When I sorted through the junk at my desk later the slaw was missing. I had recovered and lost it twice and had a gold ring for my troubles. (I'll be watching for that little devil on my next hunt!!)

GL&HH Friends,

It seems to be an old ring, so I'm sure the person who lost it is older and wiser now.

I suspect it would no longer fit.

Thanks for your reply Friend,

CJ

Maybe the next time you run across that piece of slaw it will be on top of another ring! Your lucky junk. Nice finds and again congrats on the gold.
