31/2 hours from now the tide will be low enough for me to get "out there".

Just now while cleaning off my desk I came across a couple of junk rings I had tossed in a plastic cup along with a few old coins, nuts, bolts and odd bits and pieces that find their way into my pockets.

These two rings have always fascinated me, but I didn't see any Hallmarks so there the lay until I decided to study them closely with a jeweler's loop.

The more ornate ring on the right has some greenish oxidation and would seem to be copper.

The one on the left looks like an antique and has a very faint "14" visible that I haden't noticed before due to the wear and discoloration and no magnification.

As for the "diamonds", I'll certainly have them and the other ring tested.

It seems that not all the "junk" I've been saving is junk??

I hope all you Friends out there are enjoying your holiday in health and happiness.
