A few pictures of Leanna and Hannah's art. In the first sequence of pictures is Leanna's latest commission of a dog named Boomer. Boomer was a prized family member that has passed away, and the family asked Leanna to do a sculpture from photographs. Boomer was mostly German Shepherd, but not a purebred so he is somewhat oddly shaped. The lady said that Boomer hardly ever closed his mouth, so Leanna has gone the extra mile and sculptured Boomer with his mouth open. Check out the teeth in a couple of the photographs. It was interesting to watch her figure out how to get the teeth and tongue in such a tight area. The sculpture is not finished yet, and some tweaking and modifications have yet to be made.

This is a pencil drawing that my oldest daughter Hannah just completed. She is very good with highlights and shadow, and I think gets the most pleasure in her drawing from working on highlights. So far in her many, many drawings, they have all been horses; I have yet to see her draw anything else. I think she is very good for 16... in fact, I think she's very good for any age.

Truly, an artistic family ! :clapping:

Just a thought; suppliers to taxidermists can provide eyes for just about every creature we share this planet with. Possibly worth checking out.

.... when working with the sculpting clay, does it need to be kept refigerated overnight while the sculpting is in progress?

Great sculpt and drawing. You have to be proud of them.
