Less than five minutes in the water and twenty feet from the shore this beauty finds its way into my sifter!!

14K and flawless white gold!!

It's been a month and a half dry spell for me and I hunted many hours during that period.

Three more hours and I had recovered the usual can slaw etc.

And the usual few coins, a little fishing tackle, a couple of small bullets and pieces of brass hardware.

These targets were recovered from a boulder field of huge stones, many too large to move.

Some targets are lost down between the stones and can't be reached.

This is the most difficult digging I have ever encountered.

Every one of the recovered targets was Dual Field found and Diablo dug!!

Is it safe or even practical to take a "Pinch Bar" to move the rocks?
Better yet a cable come along and a couple of nylon straps in a bag?

Back in the game :clapping:.Way to go !!!

Friends I have had a few chuckles regarding your replies and thanks for that!!!

My preferred hunting grounds are badly sanded in and I am hunting here by default!

These stones are so solidly wedged in place as part of glacial action that many are immovable with anything less than TNT!!

Some of the larger ones are bigger than a small car!!

Common sense requires that a hunter move on and forget that "lost target"! (After all it may well be just a penny!)

Hunting this ground is a struggle, but can be productive with patience and technique suited to conditions.

I jam the scoop where it can fit and hope for the best. (My technique ) Quite a few nice rings have come out of there over the years and I have most of them to my credit!!

Friend Ivan, it is always a pleasure to see your replies!!

All the best to each and every one of you,

CJ
