I hope all you readers are snug inside a warm home and riding out this mess.

There was a foot or so at mid-night last night here along the north side of Long Island Sound on the Connecticut shore.

At nine AM the wind is still gusting and snow still falling with drifts deeper than I have seen in 40 years of living here.

Parts of US 95 North and many other major travel routes are closed and have been for several hours due to snow and accidents.

The Trains aren't running from Bridgeport to New York because of weather!

I'm thankful I have a small driveway to clear as the snow is banked against the doors of both cars and my van.

Be safe and stay warm Friends,

CJ

I'll plow when it stops, but its a good one. Going to step out and get some pictures and maybe a clip now. Good northeaster, snow all stuck to the north side of the trees...Its still coming down heavy here. Look at it this way, if we didn't do anything at all, by the end of March it would all be gone. Makes you feel alive... Me thinks the first pass will be with the backhoe up the middle to get it open. Sure is beautiful to look at. It was thunder and lightning during the peak of it here also. A blizzard looks weird lit up from behind.... Gonna be tough on the the wild animals for awhile till then can get at food again on the ground.
Not a lot of browse here anymore like their was. Geo

terrible indeed. La nina just had to take a kick at Owl Gore and i think we should start a class action lawsuit.

Early after-noon saw the last of it here.

Maybe 20" to be shoveled and otherwise removed from the walk and driveway.

My snow-blower has a float valve that sticks making it almost more trouble keeping the beast running than I would have shoveling!

The snow is wet and heavy which makes it a real chore to remove.

Things are all cleared out now, but I heard more is coming soon,

CJ
