:usaflag: Drying Boots/Waders/Gloves Will Save You Money!!

Nothing short of tearing a hole in these items can ruin them faster than mold/mildew caused by condensation/sweat left in them!!

The only dryer on the market I know of is made by Peet and can be bought at Cabella's with several attachments for drying each of the items mentioned.

Another way to go if you are handy with such things is to build your own as I did.

Almost any squerril cage fan will force room air through the items drying them out.

11/2" plastic drain pipe and fittings can be assembled easily into a device that when attached to the fan will force the room air into the waders etc.

These fans can be salvaged from different sources and don't have to be fancy.

Even an old hair dryer that doesn't heat up any more will work!

(I advise against using heat as you don't want to ruin the rubber by drying it out too much!)

Tag sales sometimes offer old bathroom vent fans that work well.

The exaust from a vacuum cleaner will do, but may be too noisy in most cases.

Following the manufacturers cleaning instructions with careful drying are the two best things you can do to keep waders etc. in good shape.

Your waders, gloves, wet suits and dry suits will last longer and not develope foul odors by using this method,

You're welcome CJ.
I have learned so much from you and others in this and other forums.
Happy to be a part of it.
I saw you shared this thread with the other forum.
I almost revealed my identity on the other forum. Almost.

A boot dryer is a great investment if you spend time outdoors:thumbup: I have Dry Guy XL (Similar to the one shown above). I use it just about every day for boots, waders, gloves, hats, etc. It does prolong the useful life of boots and shoes, and as CJ mentioned above it really helps eliminate odor issues as well.
